2014 Version of Software Testing Body of Knowledge

The International Software Certification Board (ISCB) announced that all New CAST, CSTE, and CMST certifications will no longer have the option of using the v6 CBOK. Going forward, all new testing certifications will be based on the Software Testing Body of Knowledge v14 (STBOK). The STBOK covers the requisite materials for the Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST) and Certified Software Tester (CSTE) certification exams. The Software Testing Body of Knowledge is the knowledge basis for the Certified Manager of Software Testing (CMST). The STBOK is now the standard replacing the Software Testing CBOK.

ISCB Policies for phasing out testing CBOK v6

Software Testing certification candidates (CAST, CSTE, CMST) who began their certification process based on the version 6 CBOK will have until their ending exam eligibility date or December 31, 2016, whichever comes first to take the exam based on the v6 CBOK. Effective January 1, 2017, the v6 exam will no longer be available at Pearson VUE Testing Centers.

Software Certifications exams can be taken at any of the 3000+ Pearson VUE Test Centers

Software Certifications has selected Pearson VUE, as its partner for the administration of certification examinations. Candidates will be able to schedule their certification exams via the internet and take it at a Pearson VUE Testing Center in their hometown, in or outside of the United States.
